Our Story

Sayra Ojeda was born in Mexico City & has worked as an executive chef in kitchens throughout Mexico City, Cancun & as a private chef in Montreal, Canada.

Sayra came to Melbourne in 2015 & instantly fell in love with the city and now resides in Collingwood – calling Melbourne home.

The idea for Cocina Mexico came after Sayra agreed to cater for a NYE party & from there guests began requesting to book Sayra to cater their functions. As so Cocina Mexican was born!
